Sam Brewin from Leeds, United Kingdom; September 2019:
'Beautiful flat, airy with lots of pretty touches throughout. Owners were very helpful and housekeeper was lovely. Wi-Fi didn't seem to work for us, but may have been our phones and did not detract from our experience at all. Large, comfortable bed, a bit of noise from the street in the morning if the windows are open, but we didn't mind and the flat is in the centre of the town, so it's to be expected. Would stay again!

Federica Inzerillo from Pinhal Novo, Portugal; June 2019:
'It was a great stay! The location is amazing, right in front of the beach, in the middle between Praia California e Praia do Ouro. Nearby there's everything you may need. The apartment is fully equipped as per description to make the stay very comfy. Check-in and check out are easily done. Very clean and it really feels like home.
Highly recommended, a perfect match of quality and price.'

Jesus Tetsuji Tamashiro Paz from México, México; May 2019:

'Casa Sesimbra is for those who want to have a genuine Portuguese vacation in a traditional beach resort town. Historic building in the historic part of town (center). Markets and butchers just below your balcony. Sought after restaurants are just down the street, and all around you, as is the beach. Modern appliances. Clean. Wonderful experience. Great landlords. Will strongly recommend to friends back home.'

Valeria Quinteros from Madrid , España ; August 2017:
'Un apartamento precioso! Limpio y bien cuidado. Buena zona, a tres minutos caminando de la playa y zona de ocio.
Lo malo que se escucha a todos los vecinos al ser una casa antigua y deberían de limpiar a fondo '

Christine Damberg from Dortmund , Germany; April 2017:
'Very nice appartment in a beautiful old house in the 'city' of Sesimbra. You get all things you need daily nearby, also good fish in the market hall around the corner. The beach is very nice and big not far away. One thing could be better. Its missing a sieve to make Pasta and you need a coffee machine for induction cooker or simply a coffee filter. Please complement these. All-in-all for us it was a very nice stay so perhaps we will come back!!'

Diana Jasperse from Wassenaar, Nederland; January 2017:

Matthijs Rubberecht from Antwerpen, Belgium; August 2014:
'Hello Casa Sesimbra crew,

Positive points:
The overall stay was nice.
The apartment exceeded our expectations, both in functionality as the look of it. So much light!
The location is excellent.
The English spoken programs on TV later at night are a nice extra.
The kitchen appliances all came in handy.
The bed is awesome.
The grinta of Donna Edith.
The fresh flowers on Saturday.

Negative points:
The couch/sofa was terrible, if you ask me one thing to improve, this would be it.
I had to crouch a little bit in the shower. The showerhead would else touch the top of my head which is not comfortable.
It wouldn't harm to have some extra spices/basic cooking supplies in the kitchen.
Some info about the Sesimbra and the general area would be nice (the website is outdated). I.e. walking trails in let's say the Natural Park De Arrabida, or some more info about the beaches nearby / where to eat.
The rather thin walls/floor, you can hear other guests (mostly the faucets open/close).

Conclusing
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Kind regards,
Matthijs

'Thank you very much for the great stay at your apartment.
It was already my second time in Casa Sesimbra. This time in the One-Bedroom apartment. We liked it very much. It has a very nice furniture, a nice little balcony and is very clean and cosy. Especially the location in the middle of the town and its situation close to the beach make it the perfect stay in Sesimbra. '

Heidi Välipakka from Stockholm, Sweden; June 2014:
'Me and my boyfriend stayed at Casa Sesimbra for 6 nights and we were so please with the apartment/hotel. Everything was very fresh, nice apartment, the cleaning was very good and the apartment is situated in the small city centre of Sesimbra. So everything, shops, ATM, restaraunts and more needful things are just around the corner. Perfect location and value for money I would say! / Heidi '

Abraham from Madrid, Espańa; May 2014:
'La casa es muy acogedora y tranquila,ya que el pueblo acompańa también.
Esta cerca de la playa y de bares asi como de farmacias y comercios.
Hemos pasado una estancia muy agradable aunque la única pega que le pongo es que no se puede freír, y encontramos las sábanas un poco sucia pero por lo general la casa es FANTÃSTICA!'

Karen O'Neill from Narara, Australia; May 2014:

Romain B. from Paris, France; August 2013:
'My girlfriend and I stayed three nights in Sesimbra 1 BR. This small apartment is perfect for a couple.
Very clean and quiet, and also decorated with good taste, the flat gives an authentic taste of Portugal.
The building is located in the very center of Sesimbra, three minutes walk from the beach, with many places to enjoy a good coffee/breakfast (cafe da manha) in the morning.
Just enjoy this little piece of Portuguese life, far from those huge and ugly 250+ rooms' hotels.'

Susan Fraher from , Ireland; July 2013:
'We had a lovely stay in Casa Sesimbra. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and tastefully well-furnished in a contemporary style. The location was excellent - very close to the local fruit and veg market, mini-markets, shops, and beach. Michael and Cristina were quick to respond to any queries and their help and advice made our stay a relaxed and pleasant one. We would warmly recommend a stay in this apartment. '

Örjan Dahlberg from Gränna, Sweden; April 2013:
'Nice and clean apartment located in the midst of lovely and picturesque Sesimbra, close to the beach, shops and fishrestaurants. We enjoyed the view from the apartment overlooking the rooftops with the green hills of Arrabida in the background. It´s easy to rent a car and visit attractions in the surroundings such as cabo Espichel, Portinho in Arrabida and the winecompany José Maria da Fonseca in Vila Nogueira de Azeitão. '

Susan Hall from Muenster, Canada; March 2013:
'Casa Sesimbra is a classy renovated apartment right in the heart of Sesimbra. It is just around the corner from the beach and steps from the market where you can get fresh fish, baking and produce. Two larger grocery stores are within a few blocks and a smaller one is less than a block. Of course there are restaurants and panaderias all over the place. There is even a little churro/waffle shop nearby, open only on weekends at this time of year.
We booked thru booking.com and had good email contact in English from Michael and Christina. The instructions to gain access were thorough and accurate. All our questions were quickly answered. When we were robbed on our way to Arrabida Natural Park we went back to Casa Sesimbra to ask Michael and Christina a few questions. They were extremely helpful and compassionate. They offered to help in any way they could.
The unit has an amazing induction stove top. It works so fast a microwave seems like outdated technology. The toaster and coffee maker were appreciated although I did miss having a freezer to keep ice-cream.
Casa Sesimbra is great value and you feel like part of the community because of its location and amenities. We highly recommend it.

Mary Byrne from Waterford, Ireland; August 2012:
'Ah lovely Sesimbra & a lovely apartment. This is a bright, airy & spotlessly clean apartment situated in a beautifully restored old building & just around the corner from the beach. Lots of little cafes & a lovely restaurant next door. Ideally suited for 2 adults. Lovely bathroom, ideal kitchen & very comfortable bed. It also has a large flat screen TV. The apartment was cleaned plus we had a change of bedlinen & towels during our stay- a very nice touch & most appreciated. We can also highly recommend Francisco taxi service for the airport transfers. Lovely guy, friendly & reliable taxi service. Just one fly in the ointment, Michael & Cristina would have no control over this- the noise!!! The street outside under renovation & new building construction & building restoration just across the street. However I solved the problem with earplugs!!!Otherwise we had a lovely holiday & loved the apartment.'

Patricia Costa from Sacramento, California, USA; July 2012:
'It was a great place, but we missed airconditioning. I guess we're spoiled. It was very clean, well decorated, ideal location, close to everything including the beach. The 32 stairs were a little challenging, especially since I have knee problems, and we are 70 years old. Although, the elderly in Portugal wouldn't have any problem. All in all, it was a great place. '

Merle Talviste from Malmö, Sweden; March 2012:
'It has been one of my best holiday ever. One of the reasons were a really nice room to stay.
It felt like home! It was clean, really modern and cozy. The one one who decides to rent this room don't need to disappoint. You have there every thing you need.
The hosts are really nice person who has renovate the house and made it perfect place to stay over and enjoy Portugal.

I will definitely go there again and stay over in this house!'

bernard hennek from 63225 langen, deutschland; January 2012:
'wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl in ihrem appartement gefühlt.Selten hatten wir eine solch geschmackvolle Einrichtung- vor allem auch die Matratze war eine wahre Rückenfreude ! Was eventuell noch fehlt wäre ein Topf zum Wasserkochen.......ansonsten vielen Dank , wir werden euch gerne weiterempfehlen und hoffen selbst auf ein nächstes Mal !'

'Me and my boyfriend loved the apartment. It is clean, cosy and very well-located in Sesimbra, near the beach! It was a very nice weekend!'

Nuno da Silva from Brussels, Belgium; October 2011:
'My parents did enjoy the stay; perfect location and very nice appartment.

They did not like the steep stairs (80 years old).
They mentionned when they wanted to use the coffie pot and sun umbrella they found it broken.

'Casa Sesimbra is a lovely place. We spent there one week in June and felt like at home. Tasteful interior and great location - just everything you need for your holidays. I strongly recommend! :)'

Eileen O'Donnell from Vienna, Austria; May 2011:
'I stayed at Casa Christina Sesimbra & just wanted to say that though the video is nice it doesn't do this beautiful place justice! For example, when I was there, there were the biggest, fresh picked Calla lilies I'd ever seen in the vase on the table, and it was so clean that you could eat off the floors.

The bed spread and curtains were hand-made lace, something typically Portugese. The whole place was like a poem, a tasteful mix of old-world charm and minimalism. The bathroom was modern and hot water was plentiful. The bathroom floors were done in a beautiful native marble and in the rest of the place they were the original wide-board wood.

Though for me cooking and vacation don't mix, I did use the induction cook top, and it was spot on for boiling spagetti water or scrambling eggs. There were two main super markets, one of which stays open quite late and a covered market, bakeries, butchers, a pharmacy (they spoke english & german), newsstands and anything else you could need. This all in a quiet little town.

I never felt like I was staying at a rental, it was more like the guest cottage of a friend in Nantucket, somehow very private.

I didn't bother to rent a car, since there was enough to do and see by foot (hikes to the castle or lonely beaches, dive boats, shopping, coffee house sitting, restaurants, etc.). I took the bus into Lisbon for a day which was quite convenient. I'd recommend Casa Christina to those who know how to kick back and enjoy the day.'

Svetlana Moiseenko from St. Petersburg, Russia; May 2011:
'We spent two wonderful, full of romantic, weeks in Sesimbra. What impressed us most of all? White, tender, cosy and comfortable art nouveau apartment? – Yes! Nearness of the Ocean? – Yes! But the most unusual, therefore impressive, was living among local native population, in immediate proximity to traditions, lifestyle and, I would say, to scent of Portugal, as they are. We found in Sesimbra everything we had expected and even hadn’t expected that was more pleasant. Would you like to lie on the beach as a seal daylong? – welcome! Would you like to climb rocks? – welcome! Do you like fishing? – here you are! Beautiful views and nature, scent of the ocean, rocks and mountings, buried in verdure, historical places (like old fortress near Sesimbra), national cuisine, Portugal wines – we felt like everything was special for us. This place is very impressive, that’s why now I’m so expressive! '

Andrea from Melbourne, Australia; May 2010:
'Walking in the door of my one-bedroom appartment at Casa Sesimbra was like coming home after two weeks on the road staying in hotels and guesthouses. It was light, bright and airy and a great refuge at the end of a day's sightseeing. Hosts Michael and Cristina were charming and helpful, highlighting the best local spots to visit. I wouldn't hestitate to recommend CS to anyone.'
