Transportation to and from Sesimbra
Sesimbra can be reached from Lisbon by rental car, taxi or bus.
For the initial trip from the airport to Sesimbra, we suggest a car service.
The bus runs every hour and takes about 45 minutes. It has two stops in Lisbon, Praca Espanha (which is closer to the airport) and Alcantara. The latter is the stop you want to get off on your trips to Lisbon, since it is closer to the historic center. The schedule can be downloaded as PDF, or you can view it directly from the Transportes sul do Tejo's website.
By car: Cross the Ponte do 25 Abril, continue southwest to Setúbal and at the junction N378 head directly to Sesimbra. Here's a link to google maps' driving directions to Sesimbra. Google says it takes 45 minutes. People have made it in under 35, but that is early in the morning or late at night, without traffic.
A taxi from the airport to Sesimbra will run you around 50 to 60 Euros, depending on traffic.
