'We did like our stay very much. The appartment is lovely and nice. Close to the beach and to many good restaurants.
The Vermieter Michael is helpful and reachable very quick.
Thank you very much!'

Agnès PASQUIER from CRECY LA CHAPELLE, France; August 2019:
'Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans votre logement.
Tout était très propre et joliment décoré.
Merci à vous'

Maria Klom from Den Haag, Netherlands; October 2018:
'A beautiful firstfloor apartment.
Nicely decorated in a mixture of old portuguese furniture, combined with all the modern necessary fittings.

A big livingroom; two bedrooms with 2 comfortable double-beds; a kitchen with marble countertop and room for 4 persons to have breakfast in and a modern bathroom with a great big shower.
Situated in the middle of the centre surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants.
A one-minute walk to the beach.
Was there for the third time and almost feels like home...
One minor negative: no freezer ;)'

Cesar Saracho from Madrid, Spain; August 2018:
'Nos ha gustdo mucho la casa. Estaba todo muy limpio y bien cuidado. Situada en un sitio muy centrico y con mucho encanto. Repetiriamos.'

Júlia Lello from lisboa, Portugal; August 2017:

Maria Klom from Den Haag, Nederland; February 2017:
'Lovely modern conversion of an old house in the middle of the centre of Sesimbra. A big apartment with 2 seperate rooms with 2 double comfortable beds. In the street allready 1 cafe and 1 restaurant; the rest of Sesimbra filled with restaurants with daily fresh fish. Sesimbra a beautiful beachtown for a relaxed holiday, only 28 km from Lisbon.'

Peter Skoog from MAlmö, Sweden; October 2016:
'Excellent apt in the middle of town, not far from beach. Quiet and real good value for money! '

Jonathan Hillbery from Sarasota, USA; October 2015:
'Excellent location. Stylish and considered decor. Nice touches all over, from the bed spread to the sexy stove. Great beds which is always a nice surprise and ideal for a great night's rest when full of sardines and vinho tinto. Great job Michael and Christina.'

Tatjana Ekkert from Dublin, Ireland; August 2015:
'Lovely and clean apartment, very close to the beach, restaurants and shops. The walls are quite thin though, you can hear every step of the neighbors above.'

Eduardo Fernandez from Badajoz, Spain; August 2015:
'Una casa muy típica portuguesa. Nos gustó el mobiliario y la decoración. El precio muy alto.
Problemas con las empinadas escaleras, para las personas mayores o con mala movilidad. Sin ascensor.

'

Nadia Sehili from Luxembourg, Luxembourg; August 2015:

Une excellente adresse que je recommande vivement. '

Fantástico.'

Petra Lindberg from Jonkoping, Sweden; April 2015:
'We had five fantastic days in Sesimbra in April 2015. The apartment was very nice in its over all impression. Coming from Sweden, you can say it was like coming home, with a lot of Swedish design. Nice style and very clean. The bathroom was lovely with a lot of daylight. The only thing we missed was a balcony with outdoor space to sit on. We are so pleased with our stay at this apartment.'

Rosemarie Dorrer from wien, austria; April 2015:
'Ich gebe es zu, es ist richtig: wir sind Wiederholungstäter und werden auch in Zukunft oft hier wohnen.
Sesimbra und dieses Haus sind fantastisch.
dieses Haus ist etwas für Liebhaber authentischer Wohnkultur.
auch die Nähe zum strand und zu der Infrastruktur einer intakten kleinstadt ist großartig.'

Ich komme wieder'

Eugène Wüst from Amstelveen, Holland; July 2014:
'Second time at Casa Sesimbra. As good as last year! Situated in the old centre of Sesimbra, just 1 minute walk to the beach. Local prices in traditional restaurants. Clean and spacy apartment. Has all the basic stuff you need for a pleasant stay. Local shops and market just around the corner. Highly recommended.'

'Nice house, very goog light, very well located. Good Wifi. Didn't like the location of the WC, opening directly to the kitchen without any window for the exterior. Didn't like the constant disturbing noise all day long because of the construction works in the backyard. Didn't like the hight of the tables (or the shortness of the chairs). Didn't like the absence of a microwave to simplify our meals preparation. Appart from that, we loved the house and the system and we might return soon :)'

Claes Lexar from LUND, Sweden; July 2014:
'We had a nice stay last week in Casa Sesimbra. Our family stayed in 4 apartments and had a wonderful stay.
The apartment were well eqipped whith TV and Wi-Fi.
But the blue sofa in 2BR is not ment to be seated in.
It would have been more convinient, if we could pay the rooms whith banktranfer or Creditcards, instead of bringing lots of cash. Otherwise a very good week'

'Los apartamenteos son magnificos. Estos están exquisitamente deocrados con una distribución práctica. Totalmente central en Sesimbra y a 30 segundos de la playa. El lugar es una ciudad pequeña pero ofrece todo lo que uno pueda desear y mucho más.

Mil gracias por la atención y la hospitalidad.'

Rosemarie und Michael Dorrer from wien, Austria; September 2013:

Donald van den Akker from Rotterdam, Holland; August 2013:
'Nice renovated appartment with 2 rooms, very close to the (crowded) beach. The beds included good mattresses and Wifi worked fine. The apartment is above a small restaurant in the city centre so sometimes there was some noice. The appartment provided only a couple of towels for a whole week. For children the appartment can be improved with a dvd-player and microwave. A nice set of seats could also be nice.'

Anita Haug Larssen from Oslo, Norway; August 2013:
'Nice, large apartement. well equipped. Quit and peacefull.Good location '

Eugene Wust from Amstelveen, Holland; August 2013:
'We had a great time in Sesimbra. A small town with friendly people and good food. Check out the little restaurant Isajas. Best and freshest fish in town for a real low price. The stay at Casa Sesimbra was one of a kind. An old building restored with love and with all the facilities on board. Cleaning of the house was done by Ana. We couldn't have done it any better. Parking your car in front of the house is a bit of a problem, but hey, you are 40 mtrs away from the lovely beach. Thanks Michael and Cristina, for sure we will return.'

ana ramos from lisbon, portugal; July 2013:
'Too many threats, as if we were all savages: No cleaning service included, if you leave dirty dishes we´ll charge you, no extra people or we´ll charge you, no smoking...or what? Are you afraid of fire setting? Sorry to disappoint you but we've heard about ashtrays!
Nice decoration, but quite a problem to park in the area. And guests should be informed about the stairs: difficult to carry babies and wheelchairs out of question.'

jytte christensen from munkebo, denmark; March 2013:
'We enjoyed our stay in Sesimbra. the town is very original and the flat is lovely and personally furnished and situated quite in the middle of the town. The surroundings are very beautiful and there many tours you can make.'

Jaqueline Nawka from London, UK; October 2012:
'Lovely flat in a side street a few steps from the main promenade and beach. happily located. This particular apartment looks onto the everyday courtyard of a neighbouring house at the back and has ornamental balconies to the street at the front. This is a street with cafes and shops and business opens early so some nice, bustling noise. The flat is very tastefully furnished. Beds are comfortable: one King size , one Queen. No kettle if that is an issue but the hob is fantastic, so fast to heat.
I think this is a really good value option and has many advantages over hotels as you feel more relaxed.
Our only negative comments are that the floorboards in the flat above or bedroom are really noisy and disturbed sleep. Also we felt that the number of towels was not enough for us so we had to have them laundered locally half way through the visit. there is a laundry at the end of the street which will launder same day, approx 4 euro and done within 2 hours. Don't let these minor things put you off. This is an opportunity for some real local living.'

Ilse Boehm from Vienna, Austria; May 2012:
'We spent two weeks in Casa Sesimbras two bedroom apartment and it was comfortable and very central to the beach to the market, where we bought delicious fruits, vegetable and fresh fish. The hosts showed us a remarkable cafeteria with a terrace to the seaside and we also remember a pastry shop just a few steps from the aparent with all the excellent portugese pastries! Thanks a lot to Michael and Cristina, we appreciate your kindness. Best regards Ilse and Dieter'

Margit Mayrhofer from Loosdorf, Austria; August 2011:
'Hübsch eingerichtetes, sauberes Appartment in der Altstadt von Sesimbra.
Sehr zentral gelegen, gleich in der Nähe des Strandes, Marktes,...
Zugang mit Code hat gut geklappt.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, den Flair genossen und sind froh nicht im Hotel übernachtet zu haben
'

Norbert Schraepler from Berlin, Germany; November 2010:
'I stayed in October 2010 with my 2 boys (6 and 8 years old) in the 2BR-flat.
To cut a long story short: it was very very good.
The rooms (2 bedrooms, 1 living room, 1 kitchenroom) are spacious and nicely furnished. The bathroom and toilet are completely new. You have a separate room for your baggage and your clothes. The beds are very good (it was the first time in my vacancies that my back was not aching after a night's sleep in a hotel or appartment...).
The location of the flat in the historical part of Sesimbra is superb ! You have really everything in 5-minutes walking distance (including the beach !).
The service of the owners is also highly recommended (for German visitors: they speak German as well).
Ok - there is just one littel thing...the manager of the flat is an old lady that does not speak any other language than Portugese. That might be a little bit tricky (or funny...) if the owners are not in town and you have to deal something with her. But never mind...at the end this worked also well.

All in all: Casa Sesimbra is highly recommended from my side and i am really looking forward to come back soon.'

José Vieira from Braga, Portugal; August 2010:
'A recuperação da casa é muito interessante.
A localização excelente.

J Fiuza from London, UK; August 2010:
'Stayed july 2010 in 2 bed apt. The flat is in an old building which has just been refurbished. Thus you get the large rooms, very high ceilings etc of a classic building, which is quite an unusual experience. Note you also get the less positive aspects, such as noise (no double glazing, floors a bit creaky) etc. Overall however we absolutely loved it. The restoration has been done really nicely.

The location is amazing- there is a restaurant next door (very good value for money- good food at cheapest prices for seafood we found in Sesimbra)- we ate there several times and liked everything), market maybe 30m away, as is the main shopping road, beach/promenade/fort under 100m, and yet you're on quite a quiet side road.

Sesimbra is a lovely little town, very historic, little cobblestone streets, lots of restaurants and cafes, nice beach (not too crowded in July- although busy at weekends when the tide was high), etc. The one negative is that parking is very difficult in town, so we avoided renting a car for the duration and just got one for a day whenh we needed it, and taxis to/from airport- Francisco (the contact on the website) was very good in this regard. Obviously you can easily walk everywhere in town.'

R.H. from Oslo, Norway; July 2010:
'We stayed at Casa Sesimbra for 5 days in July and enjoyed it very much. The apartment fulfilled all our needs and felt large and spacious. The location is perfect - in a quiet street only 100 meters from the beach.'

Sabrina Ramos from Putnam Valley, New York, USA; May 2010:
'Our trip was truly memorable. We really enjoyed the apartment as it was spacious and perfect for the 4 of us. Everything was just so beautiful with such amazing attention to detail and the balconies were a wonderful treat. We really enjoyed shopping at the markets and making breakfast in our amazing kitchen. Loved the induction stove. Most of all we enjoyed being right on the beach. Sesimbra is so beautiful and we really enjoyed the town and how close we were to everything. We couldn’t imagine a better place to stay while enjoying our visit to Sesimbra. Thank you.'
