Michael and Cristina from NYC, USA; October 2012: 'We stayed here again for 2 months. You hear the ocean at night. The seagulls wake you in the morning. Espresso downstairs is 60c. Lunch with grilled fish and wine is 7 EUR per person. What could be wrong?!'
Thomas & Iris Komischke from Hannover, Germany; August 2012: 'We have rented the penthouse, the well refurished spacious loft of a fully renovated town house in the historic center of Sesimbra. A fine place to be! Its new and modern kitchen and spacious bathroom complete the generously sized living room and the (seperated) bedroom. All is very nicely done.
The added and pretty large balcony opens to the Atlantic Ocean (only two blocks away) beyond a sea of aged roof tiles of old Sesimbra houses.
And there is very little to whine about in regards of the place: Only make sure you are fit and well when climbing the stairs to the attic with oversized baggage. Keep in mind (when enjoying the sun and the view) that the wire railing of the balcony serves mainly an optical purpose.
Here where the slopes of the impressive Serra da Arrabida mountains meet the ocean's spume motor traffic is restrained by old Sesimbra`s narrow and winding roads. So it might be good to know that parking is avaiable for less then two Dollars a day only a few blocks from the place up the street to Santana.
The Costa Azul in general is a gem of Europe's landscapes - and Sesimbra is a lively gateway to explore its highlights and beauties. And for sure Christina and Micheal`s penthouse mirrors their personality and makes it one of the better places to stay in the region.
It added tremendously to making our vacation a wonderful one. We simply loved it there!'
Rosemarie D. from Vienna, Austria; November 2011: 'Wonderful holiday in Sesimbra, in this extremely beautiful and cozy apartment in the middle of the old town. Bakery, market, and beach are around the corner as well as nice cafes (with the best espresso of the world for 60 cents), all kinds of fish and seafood-restaurants nearby. We were there from mid of october to mid november, and had in the first weeks perfect beach-weather, and in the last week it was coller, but also perfect for walking at the beach or in the hills around Sesimbra. Some cultural local events were highlights during our vacation. The steep stairs are a daily fitness-programme. Very recommended place for people who look for quiet holidays with lots of air from the sea!'
Angus Dawson from London, England; September 2010: 'This really was a great apartment, very modern, and super conveniently located. We were very impressed and happy. It was super easy and hassle free to check in and check out and collect the keys. '
Birgit from Brussels, Belgium; June 2010: 'We enjoyed our stay at Sesimbra Penthouse a lot, the apartment is brand new and very comfortable and the location in the center of Sesimbra and close to the beach is excellent. We can definitely recommend the place, thank you very much!'
